Mannheimer Swartling has represented Altor in its acquisition of the paper wholesale group Papyrus

Papyrus is one of Europe’s leading paper wholesalers and has at present operations in 22 European countries through approximately 50 subsidiaries with in total 3,100 employees. The Head Office is located in Mölndal, Sweden.

The purchase price is based on a company valuation of approximately 640 MEUR. The transaction is expected to be completed in the end of April, following approvals from the competition authorities.

The responsible partner was Ă…ke Kjellson who was primarily assisted by Christopher Arkbrant, Anna Duvander, Jonas Andersson, Jonas Holmqvist and Mikael Lindgren. Per Josefsson assisted with respect to intellectual property aspects and Karin Gustafsson assisted respect to tax issues. Oliver Schulte and Oliver Cleblad assisted with respect to the German group companies, which represent a major part of Papyrus' business.

Mannheimer Swartling also represented Altor with respect to the acquisition financing. Olof Stenström was responsible partner for this part and he was primarily assisted by Jesper Kuschel.
