Mannheimer Swartling named IFLR Law Firm of the Year: Sweden 2012

April 2012

Mannheimer Swartling is pleased to announce that it was named ”Law Firm of the Year: Sweden” at the International Financial Law Review (IFLR) European Awards 2012 ceremony held 22 March in London. This is the sixth time in eight years that the firm has received this award.

“We are pleased that Mannheimer Swartling has won this award. This achievement is evidence of Mannheimer Swartling’s ability to consistently provide innovative advice on complex and high profile transactional and corporate finance work.”

- Jan Dernestam, managing partner

The IFLR awards are based on legal innovation – international deals that break new legal ground and set market precedents.

In the IFLR Guide to the World’s Leading Financial Law Firms 2012, Mannheimer Swartling is ranked Tier 1 in every category covered in Sweden and 13 individuals from the firm’s offices in Stockholm, Göteborg, Malmö and Helsingborg, receive “Leading Lawyer” recognition – more than any other law firm in Sweden.

Excerpts about Mannheimer Swartling from the 2012 edition of IFLR 1000:

“According to consensus from peers and clients, Mannheimer Swartling is currently the top all-round firm in Sweden.”

“I rank Mannheimer Swartling as the best firm in town, they always give quality and attention”.

“Mannheimer Swartling is a solid top tier firm in all walks of corporate finance. “I find it very good," says one long standing client, “I have always seen quality in delivery...”

“We have used Mannheimer Swartling for transactions in faraway places like Hong Kong and even Singapore,” says a client, “we always go through them and it works well.”

IFLR’s research coverage of Sweden includes the following areas: Banking and Project Finance, Capital Markets, and Mergers and Acquisitions. Rankings are based on four criteria: innovation, complexity, cross-border capability and quality of client service. Interviews are conducted with leading financial and corporate lawyers and their clients.
