Aviator Airport Alliance acquires Novia

March 2011


The Nordic supplier of ground handling to the airline industry, Aviator, has entered into an agreement regarding the purchase of Novia and its ground handling operations at Copenhagen Airport (Kastrup) and at Malmö Airport (Sturup).

Aviator is the only independent full service ground handling company with activities throughout the Nordic region and has a turnover of approximately SEK 1 billion with approximately 1,250 employees. Aviator is comprised of the Swedish Company Nordic Aero and the Norwegian companies Røros Flyservice and Norport Ground Handling. Aviator is owned by the investment fund Accent Equity 2008.

Aviator was advised by Mannheimer Swartling on the transaction. Peter Alhanko led the firm’s team handling the acquisition, primarily assisted by Lucas Jonsson, Christopher Arkbrant and Cecilia Malmberg. Daniel Karlsson led the firm’s team handling the acquisition financing, primarily assisted by Catharina Belfrage Sahlstrand.
