Cerha Hempel is particularly active for open-end and closed-end funds and developers, who retain the team to assist with real estate transactions and project developments. The latter includes transactional as well as financing and construction-related advice. This intersection between real estate and construction law is not least based on practice head Peter Vcelouch‘s strength in this area and translates in him heading both the real estate and construction practices. While the team covers all asset classes, much of its recent work concerned the residential and retail sectors. CEE real estate practice head Mark Krenn is another key individual; he routinely assists with transactions and lease agreements.
Assistance to clients from the food and beverage industry is the focal point of the IP team at Cerha Hempel. Transaction expert Mark Krenn jointly heads the team with Katharina Majchrzak, who was promoted to counsel in January 2020 and has a particular specialism in IP prosecution and enforcement. Together, they are particularly adept at addressing IP questions as part of M&A transactions in the high tech and IT space.
