Managing Partner and Head of Department of Takeovers & Antitrust. Partner since 2004, with CERHA HEMPEL since 1995. Albert specializes in mergers and acquisitions, public takeovers, corporate reorganizations and restructurings, as well as joint ventures with a special focus on Austria and (CEE/SEE). He has developed particular expertise in the fields of structuring and implementation of corporate transactions, takeover mechanics and the modelling of co-ownership structures. ​ Albert was/is a lead partner on many prominent matters for several years already and holds an extremely vast track record. He is an author and regular contributor of numerous publications. ​ Recent examples of deals include, large volume transactions like the advice to EnBW Trust e.V. and EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG on the sale of a 28.35% stake in EVN AG (purchased by WIENER STADTWERKE GmbH) or the sale of Erber Group to Royal DSM which was one of the largest and most challenging transactions in Austria in 2020. Both deals value approx. EUR 1 billion each.
