Managing Partner Clemens Hasenauer is Head of Department Corporate Transactions since 2007, specialising in M&A, public takeovertransactions, banking and finance, reorganisations and restructurings. He is particularly renowned for structuring large international joint ventures and public takeovers. Clemens regularly advises on Austria’s most prominent M&A deals, e.g. just recently advising XXXLutz Group establishing a 50/50 partnership in Black Red White Group (a large furniture retailer and producer based in Poland), or the advice of publicly-listed International Flavors & Fragrances Inc of the sales transaction, which included Savory Solutions Group and the advice of Vienna based OMV AG in connection with the sale of OMV’s filling station business in Germany to the British EG Group.
Clemens is also a university lecture (holding M&A classes for post-graduate studies) and is author of a number of publications, in particular in the field of corporate, M&A, takeover and capital markets law. In addition, he is the academic chair of the most renowned annual legal conference in Austria (Business Circle’s RuSt) which has a strong focus on legal and tax aspects of mergers, acquisitions and other transactions.
