Volker Glas is Partner at CERHA HEMPEL since 1999 and specializes in capital markets and corporate finance transactions. He represents issuers and underwriters in debt and equity capital markets transactions, corporate borrowers and Austrian and international banks in syndicated loans, acquisition and project financings, and structured finance transactions. In 2019, he and his team advised Frequentis AG on its IPO (dual listing Vienna/Frankfurt), IMMOFINANZ AG in its debut EUR 500 million investment grade bond issuance, voestalpine AG in its EMTN programme update 2019 and a EUR 500 million drawdown, and S Immo AG in two (EUR150 plus 100 million) liability management transactions involving bond issuances. He represented the lenders in two (EUR100 plus 50 million) railway infrastructure financings by way of New York law governed notes purchased by a Chinese insurance company. In bank financing, he advised e.g. a Boston-based life insurance company in the unbundling and termination of a sewage and rainwater infrastructure financing and a Cincinnati-based bank in the termination of a pump-storage hydropower plant financing.
