Career

Kyra joined the firm as a trainee in 2015 and was appointed as a Junior Associate in February 2019.

Kyra completed the degree of Doctor of Laws at the University of Malta in 2017, successfully defending a thesis entitled ‘Shadow Banking: Is there a case for regulation? Subsequently, she graduated with an LLM degree in Law and Economics from Utrecht University in The Netherlands in July 2018. During her studies, she has focused primarily on Financial Regulation with particular focus on retail investment funds and pension funds – her final LLM thesis comprised of a comparative review and a normative analysis of the UCITS fund and the Pan-European Personal Pension Product (PEPP). Kyra was then admitted to the bar in August 2018.

As part of the CP training programme, Kyra has been assigned work in various practice areas ranging from Financial Services Regulation to Corporate Law matters. She intends on furthering her professional career principally in the areas of Financial Services Regulation and Corporate law.
