Career

Edouard has been a partner in the firm since 2015. He advises within the Corporate Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity departments, both of which he also chairs.

He assists French and international client on small & mid-cap transactions in M & A and private equity (ventures, growth capital and LBOs), both in the start-up ecosystem and for more mature companies (SMEs). In this capacity, he acts as an advisor to investors (investment funds in particular ) and companies, concerning raising capital, restructuring, external growth and exit transactions, as well as for their more routine (“corporate”) transactions. Edouard has also developed a special mastery of management packages and shareholder incentive schemes.

In 2018, Edouard was referenced in the Private Equity sections of various leading legal guides, including Legal 500 EMEA, Legal 500 Paris: ” Edouard Waels is always very attentive, understands the needs of his clients and offers adapted solutions,”,  IFLR 1000, and the magazine Décideurs in the category “High Recognition”.
