Counsel

Maria is a counsel at the Firm which she joined in 2020.

Maria has substantial advisory, litigation and transactional experience in all aspects of individual and collective employment law. She advises on restructurings, voluntary exit schemes, TUPE, outsourcing, redundancies and company collective labour agreements. She also conducts due diligence in the context of mergers and acquisitions.

Maria assists human resources, payroll and legal departments on the management of employment relationships, employment, secondment, services and senior executives’ agreements, termination and amicable separation agreements, internal work regulations and company policies. Maria also advises on disciplinary issues, equality, employee mobility including postings and secondments of EU/EEA and third country nationals, pensions, benefits and incentive schemes.

Career

Maria is admitted to the Athens Bar (2002) and the Supreme Court of Greece (2017). She is a member of the European Employment Lawyers Association.

Maria holds a Degree in Law from the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens and an MSc in Human Resources Management from University College Dublin.
