Position

Partner. Thomas Munk Rasmussen is the head of Bech-Bruun's Compliance & Investigations department. The department covers compliance areas within EU and Danish law, e.g. programmes for implementation and control of data protection and privacy, AML, export control and anti-corruption programmes. Along with specialists in other departments in Bech-Bruun, the department also facilitates compliance programmes within other legal areas, e.g. competition and employment law.The Compliance & Investigations department also performs various investigations for the public and private sector. Finally the department acts as a first response unit for several international insurance companies offering cyber crime insurances.

Thomas Munk Rasmussen is specialised in data protection/privacy, marketing, IPR and technology law.

For a number of years, Thomas has held seminars and courses for businesses, organisations and public authorities. Furthermore, he has as an associate professor taught IT and personal data law at the University of Copenhagen where he has also been a tutor in the property law class.

Co-author of the books "E-commerce - practical law for businesses" and "Domain names - a legal handbook".
