Position

Partner. Claus Aagaard Nielsen specialises in the acquisition and sale of national and international businesses and advises on company law issues, restructurings and family business successions. He also advises on private equity fund investments, the acquisition of retail chains, the drafting of shareholders' agreements, etc. He represents private equity funds, banks, large industrial enterprises as well as smaller enterprises, including those within the advertising and media industry, the real estate and energy sectors, partnerships and owner-managed companies. Moreover, Claus has specific knowledge of Danish-German legal matters and regularly holds talks on mergers and acquisitions, company law issues and restructurings.

In a recent highlight, Rode advised AEA Investors on its acquisition of Alpha Offshore Services; other notable mandates include Jacob Hjortshøj assisting SolixGroup with its purchase of Skiold, Ole Nørgaard acting for Teradyne on its € 121m acquisition of 100% of the share capital of Mobile Industrial Robots from its shareholders, Claus Aagaard Nielsen advising Nine United Denmark on its $66m sale of 26% of its share capital to Herman Miller, and Simon Milthers, who has 'expert regulatory insights', handling Total's $7.4bn acquisition of Maersk Oil.
