Partner. Niels M. Andersen is an intellectual property law specialist.

Niels has extensive experience advising Danish and non-Danish enterprises on all types of issues within IT, intellectual property, technology, telecom, M&A as well as entertainment. 

Niels’s expertise includes advice on all types of agreements and transactions, including public and private IT procurement processes, overoutsourcing, business transfers, licence agreements, due diligence, etc. 

Niels is dedicated and client-oriented as an adviser and skilled at finding workable legal solutions to highly complex issues. Niels is furthermore an experienced and skilled advocate, having conducted a considerable number of cases concerning infringement of intellectual property rights. 
 
Niels is certified as an IT attorney by the Association of Danish IT Attorneys and is involved in professional activities on, among other things, IT-related issues and enforcement of intellectual property rights. He is one of the founders behind the contract management system Pactius and is furthermore a seasoned lecturer on his areas of expertise. 

For a number of years up to 2007, Niels held the positions of vice-chairman and subsequently chairman of Bech-Bruun.

Key strengths include traditional IT system development and supply agreements, public and private procurement work, transfers, due diligence, and software licensing and IT operational services agreements concerning hosting and outsourcing services. In a recent highlight, the group assisted Energinet with a large outsourcing agreement, preparing and facilitating the bidding and contracting process involving data centres, infrastructure and IT systems. Niels M. Andersen and Mikkel Friis Rossa jointly head up the group.
