Career

Anne Buhl Bjelke specialises in insurance law and dispute resolution. For several years, Anne has established corporate and regulatory insurance law as her separate field of expertise, and she is now an acknowledged expert in this field of law.

With great knowledge and professionalism, Anne advises insurance companies in Denmark and abroad, focusing on the commercial challenges and opportunities for the industry as such. Her advisory services include regulatory insurance law, portfolio transfers and insurance mediation as well as life and pension insurance. Furthermore, she has particular insight into financial sector regulation. Anne is an experienced litigator, having convincingly conducted several cases on insurance cover and liability in tort and contract, including professional liability, directors’ liability and product liability. Anne represents clients before ordinary courts of law as well as arbitration tribunals.

Even at a young age, Anne was a recognised legal expert, which is illustrated by her being admitted to the list of young talents of corporate Denmark in Berlingske Business’s “Talent 100” at the age of 35. A few years later, she was named as a “Leading individual” in insurance law by Legal500. Anne devotes time and efforts to international work and networking and has co-organised several international conferences and lectures.

Most recently, Anne completed her training as mediator in 2020 through the Association of Danish Law Firms and she was named as a “Leading individual” in Dispute Resolution by Legal500 in 2021.
