Career

Helge Stemshaug has extensive competition law experience and has as a former Director of Legal Affairs at the Norwegian Competition Authority assisted in the clearance of many of Norway’s largest and most complex mergers. He has also assisted in a number of infringement cases, including competition authority investigations, commitment cases and cases relating to the imposition of fines. Helge has extensive experience with state aid law and regulatory issues.

Helge sits on the Norwegian Bar Association’s practice committee for European Law and Competition Law and the Center for Continuing Legal Education’s practice committee for Competition Law and State Aid Law. His strong academic background and close relations with various educational institutions make Helge a popular guest lecturer at the University of Oslo, the Norwegian School of Economics and BI Norwegian Business School.
