Christiana Vassiliou has worked with domestic and multinational clients including banking institutions and major corporations and has advised on a large number of complex financings. She recently acted for a major Russian Bank on the Cyprus law aspects of the refinancing of a USD200m facility advising on the Cyprus law aspects of the transaction which involved the granting of security by several Cypriot companies.

Key areas of focus include project finance and syndicated loans, in addition to subordinated and mezzanine financing. Stelios Triantafyllides heads up the department, which is also well-versed in regulatory, compliance and licensing issues. Triantafyllides has considerable expertise in international secured financing transactions. The team has recently been involved in a substantial number of NPL portfolio sales and participation deals, where it acts for both sellers and buyers. Marios Hadjigavriel and Christiana Vassiliou are among the other key members of the group, which acts for a variety of major international lenders, arrangers and facility agents, as well as borrowers and guarantors. James West primarily focuses on large secured and refinancing transactions that relate to property and infrastructure development in the Russian Federation.
