Career

Diogo is of counsel in the Public Law practice. He has 10 years’ experience and in-depth knowledge of the Angolan market.

Diogo has a law degree from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon and spent an academic year under the Erasmus programme at Università La Sapienza – Facultà di Giurisprudenza. He also completed postgraduate courses in public contracts law and in environmental law, and the academic part of the master’s in legal and political sciences at the same faculty where he took his degree.

Diogo was a legal adviser to the Inter-ministerial Portuguese-Spanish Hydrological Limits and Basins Commission (Ministery of Foreign Affairs) and an associate at the law firm HAAG – Sociedade de Advogados, RL. Since 2011, he has been a consultant on investment projects in the production and infrastructure sectors in Angola. He has also held executive and non-executive positions on the boards of a number of companies.

He is a member of various public law associations and of the Forum Angola-Portugal and the Professor Joaquim Veríssimo Serrão Research Centre.
