Career

Sérgio is a managing associate in the Real Estate and Tourism practice. In his 15 years working as a lawyer, he has focused on advising Portuguese and international hotel groups, large retailers and real estate investors. Sérgio has handled multiple real estate and corporate transactions, from defining the implementation of their corporate structures and financing, through to completion.

Having earned his law degree from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon, Sérgio went on to complete a postgraduate course in securities law at the same faculty.

Before joining PLMJ, Sérgio was a lawyer at the law firm FCB – F. Castelo Branco e Associados.

Sérgio Teixeira – PLMJ

The real estate arm of PLMJ, steered by Francisco Lino Dias and Teresa Madeira Afonso, delivers end-to-end solutions in the context of real estate transactions, including the asset deals and the disposal and acquisition of real estate portfolios. Lino Dias regularly assists developers and institutional investors with leasing agreements, build-to-rent models, and forward-funding ventures. Madeira Afonso, who joined in May 2023 from the firm’s M&A department, concentrates on corporate real estate deals and restructurings, servicing both national and international investment funds.
