Position

Main practice areas are banking and finance, corporate finance and capital markets, corporate law, financial restructuring and insolvency, litigation and M&A. Heidar has been focusing on major restructurings and insolvency matters both in Iceland and internationally over the past few years. He has represented various international banks and investment funds before the Icelandic courts, in particular in relation to the collapse of the Icelandic banks.

Career

Heidar joined LOGOS in 2002 and became a Partner in 2009. He was previously with the Ministry for Foreign Affairs from 2000-2001.

Education

Heidar graduated from the University of Iceland with a cand.jur. degree in 2000 and qualified as an Attorney in 2003. He received his LL.M. in Comparative Law from the University of Miami School of Law in 2002.
