Iceland > EEA and competition
The ‘strong team’ of experienced practitioners at LOGOS maintains the group’s stellar track record as a premium Icelandic firm in the space, regularly advising on all aspects of complex and challenging mandates. On the competition side, the team’s comprehensive work portfolio largely consists of appearing before competition authorities, providing advisory services regarding dominant market positions and horizontal and vertical agreements, dawn raids, state aid issues, merger control work and private enforcement cases. When it comes to EU and EEA mandates, the group’s workload sees it engaged on matters pertaining to the full suite of issues and frequently acting before the EFTA Surveillance Authority, the European Commission, the EFTA Court and the European Court of Justice. Helga Óttarsdóttir heads up the practice group, receiving support from Gunnar Sturluson, Halldór Brynjar Halldórsson, who is recommended for competition litigation, and Vilhjálmur Herrera Þórisson, who is the key name at associate level.
