Position

Kevin is a partner in the firm’s Asset Management and Investment Funds Group. 

 

Career

He has extensive experience in advising on the legal and regulatory issues relating to the establishment of investment funds in Ireland (including UCITS, QIAIFs, ETFs, money market funds and private equity funds) as well as advising on the establishment of UCITS management companies and AIFMs in Ireland (including those with MiFID top-up approvals). Kevin is a regular speaker at investment fund conferences. He has also contributed to industry publications as well as the Financial Times and the Wall Street Journal. He is a past Chairman of Irish Funds and is a member of An Taoiseach’s (the Prime Minister’s) Funds Group.

Arthur Cox has a sizeable asset management and investment funds team and a long track record in the area. The core group features seven specialist partners and three of counsels, along with a larger cohort of associates. The team has continued to expand its client base in the UCITS and alternative funds spaces, with extensive experience in ETFs and QIAIFs. It has a record of advising on the formation and authorisation of innovative structures and an array of market firsts, and is at the forefront of ESG matters including SFDR obligations. Kevin Murphy and Tara O’Reilly have huge reputations in the market, the latter for ETFs, and both co-head the asset management and investment funds group. Sarah Cunniff remains active in SFDR-related matters.
