Attention then shifted to the Dominican Republic in a spotlight session supported by Pellerano & Herrera. This segment explored the country\u2019s evolving regulatory framework, emerging sector opportunities, and broader investment climate. It provided a forward-looking perspective on the factors continuing to attract international investment, as well as the challenges businesses might face when entering or operating in the market.<\/p>\n
Following a networking coffee break, the Summit resumed with a discussion on the transformation of legal leadership and external partnerships, sponsored by The Legal 500. This session examined how the role of General Counsel had expanded beyond technical expertise into strategic influence, including capital allocation, risk management, and geopolitical considerations. It also addressed the shifting dynamics between in-house teams and external counsel, particularly in light of rising expectations around efficiency, transparency, and the growing impact of AI on legal service delivery.<\/p>\n
A different regional focus continued with a session in association with Flor Bustamante Pizarro & Hurtado, which explored investment opportunities in Ecuador. Key sectors such as energy, natural resources, agribusiness, aquaculture, fisheries, and financial services were examined, alongside the risks and structural conditions shaping large-scale project development in the country.<\/p>\n
Environmental regulation in Peru then took centre stage in a discussion held in association with Estudio Mu\u00f1iz. This session evaluated the challenges and opportunities associated with improving regulatory frameworks and enforcement, with a focus on balancing economic development with environmental responsibility.<\/p>\n
The summit concluded with a drinks and canap\u00e9s reception, where attendees continued discussions and strengthened professional connections in an informal setting.<\/p>\n
