(New York) \u2013 Akin announced today that Heather Waters Borthwick has joined the firm\u2019s capital solutions team as a private credit partner in New York.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Borthwick brings extensive experience in the performing private credit market, further strengthening Akin\u2019s one-stop platform for private capital investors pursuing opportunities across the capital structure.<\/p>\n

Borthwick joins Akin from DLA Piper, with a practice focused on direct lending and other transactions on the private credit spectrum. She advises leading credit funds and other asset managers on a wide range of financing transactions, including direct lending and cross-border private credit transactions, acquisition financings, refinancings, recapitalizations and hybrid capital deals.<\/p>\n
