{"id":47610,"date":"2025-03-18T12:46:47","date_gmt":"2025-03-18T12:46:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/my.legal500.com\/developments\/?post_type=press_releases&#038;p=47610"},"modified":"2025-03-18T12:46:47","modified_gmt":"2025-03-18T12:46:47","slug":"gillespie-macandrew-announces-new-charity-partnership-with-two-scottish-charities","status":"publish","type":"press_releases","link":"https:\/\/my.legal500.com\/developments\/press-releases\/gillespie-macandrew-announces-new-charity-partnership-with-two-scottish-charities\/","title":{"rendered":"Gillespie Macandrew announces new charity partnership with two Scottish charities"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Scottish law firm Gillespie Macandrew LLP has commenced a two-year partnership with local charities Richmond\u2019s Hope and Change Mental Health.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The announcement supports the firm\u2019s extensive Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) programme with social responsibility and community engagement as two key pillars of Gillespie Macandrew\u2019s ongoing commitment.<\/p>\n<p>As well as the firm\u2019s financial support, both charities will be supported throughout the year via fundraising events, voluntary opportunities with Gillespie Macandrew colleagues and a donation from pre-tax profits.<\/p>\n<p>Gillespie Macandrew\u2019s charity partnerships are a key part of the Firm\u2019s overall Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme which includes representatives from all four Gillespie Macandrew offices and a donation percentage of pre-tax profits each year to the nominated charities. The new partnerships were determined by colleagues through a democratic selection process that focused on appealing for their suggestions and motive for choosing charities. Each of the shortlisted charities was assessed against the four UN Sustainable Development Goals that the firm has chosen to focus on, seeking to advance these goals is a central part of the firm\u2019s ESG Strategy.<\/p>\n<p>Richmond\u2019s Hope provides children and young people aged 4-18 years old with the support, tools and space to process their grief after losing someone close to them.<\/p>\n<p>Change Mental Health is a national mental health charity delivering non-clinical, person-centred support to people affected by mental illness in communities across Scotland.<\/p>\n<p>Robert Graham-Campbell, Chief Executive Officer of Gillespie Macandrew said: \u201cI am delighted to welcome Change Mental Health and Richmond\u2019s Hope on board as our new charity partners.
