We are pleased to announce that Matouk Bassiouny & Hennawy\u2019s (\u201cMBH\u201d) IP litigation team successfully obtained a favorable court judgment for Libby\u2019s, one of the most well-known brands of quality products, in a dispute before the State Council Courts concerning the cancellation of several registrations that constituted an infringement of their globally well-known, highly valuable, trademark.<\/p>\n
The court ruled to revoke all trademark registrations deemed to be counterfeit in Egypt, affirmed that Libby\u2019s trademark is recognized as a well-known trademark, and confirmed its legal protection under the Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property and National Law.<\/p>\n
