O\u2019Melveny announced today that two experienced pan-Asia transactional lawyers\u2014Stephanie Keen and Sylvia Taslim\u2014have joined the firm\u2019s Singapore office as partners in the Mergers & Acquisitions Practice,<\/strong>further bolstering O\u2019Melveny\u2019s cross-border capabilities while also expanding its capacity across Asia.<\/span><\/p>\n

Together, Keen and Taslim are internationally recognized for their strategic M&A and private equity expertise. Their work spans a vast array of industries that align with O\u2019Melveny\u2019s strengths, including the technology, consumer, and energy sectors.<\/p>\n

Keen and Taslim come to O\u2019Melveny from the Singapore office of Hogan Lovells, where they practiced together in the Corporate and Finance Practice. Keen held senior leadership roles there, including head of the Asia-Pacific Private Equity Practice and Corporate and Finance Practice.<\/p>\n

Stephanie Keen <\/strong>is recognized as one of Singapore\u2019s premier M&A and private equity lawyers. For nearly three decades, she has advised corporations, lenders, and mid-market private equity sponsors on leveraged buy-outs, cross-border transactions, mergers and acquisitions, equity offerings, and corporate restructurings in jurisdictions across the globe. Consistently ranked as a \u201cleading lawyer\u201d by Chambers<\/em>, Keen has been named to The Legal 500<\/em>\u2019s Singapore Lawyer \u201cHall of Fame,\u201d while Women in Business Law – APAC<\/em> has honored Keen as \u201cBest in Private Equity.\u201d<\/p>\n

Keen earned her Bachelor and Master of Arts in Law from St. John\u2019s College at the University of Cambridge, and her Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the York College of Law. She is a member of the Singapore Venture Capital Association, the Asian Venture Capital Association, and the Singapore Law Society.<\/p>\n

Sylvia Taslim<\/strong> has been recognized as a corporate and M&A \u201cRising Star\u201d by The Legal 500<\/em>. For nearly two decades, she has advised clients on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, public takeovers, private equity transactions, and venture capital investing. She is particularly skilled in energy M&A transactions, and she has extensive experience in first-of-its-kind transactions in emerging markets.<\/p>\n

Taslim earned her LL.B. in Laws from the National University of Singapore, and she is a member of the Singapore Law Society.<\/p>\n
