{"id":45090,"date":"2024-10-30T07:40:28","date_gmt":"2024-10-30T07:40:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/my.legal500.com\/developments\/?post_type=press_releases&#038;p=45090"},"modified":"2024-10-30T07:40:48","modified_gmt":"2024-10-30T07:40:48","slug":"weightmans-sees-legal-directory-rankings-boost-for-both-lawyers-and-practice-areas","status":"publish","type":"press_releases","link":"https:\/\/my.legal500.com\/developments\/press-releases\/weightmans-sees-legal-directory-rankings-boost-for-both-lawyers-and-practice-areas\/","title":{"rendered":"Weightmans sees legal directory rankings boost for both lawyers and practice areas"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li><strong>563 Weightmans experts listed across Chambers and Legal 500<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>22 top tier rankings<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>National law firm Weightmans has capped off a hugely successful year with the news that a record number of its lawyers have been ranked in this year\u2019s leading legal directories, with 563 experts listed across the guides.<\/p>\n<p>In the latest editions of the Legal 500 and Chambers &amp; Partners UK legal directories, the firm has also been recommended as a top-tier firm in 22 practice areas across the two and is listed across 140 areas altogether.<\/p>\n<p>The areas in which Weightmans ranks for the first time (eight in total), include private wealth disputes (North West), employment (Scotland), commercial litigation (Midlands), personal tax, trusts and probate (North), IT and telecoms (London), and transport road regulatory (UK-wide), plus improved rankings for construction (North East), Local Government (UK-wide), planning and environment (North West), planning and environment (West Midlands), family (Scotland) and mental health providers (UK-wide).<\/p>\n<p>In the Legal 500, 48 lawyers have been included in the elite \u2018leading partners\u2019 listing, with 20 being named as \u2018next generation partners\u2019, eight named \u2018hall of fame partners\u2019, and another 22 \u2018leading associates\u2019. In Chambers, 102 Weightmans\u2019 lawyers are ranked as \u2018leading partners\u2019 and \u2018associates to watch\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Managing partner, John Schorah, said:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cComing off the back of us reporting our most successful financial year to date in the summer, this is fantastic news, and I am thrilled and proud to see the extraordinary talent and hard work recognised in these latest rankings.
