WFW strengthens London projects team with new Counsel hire

Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) is pleased to announce that trade and commodity finance expert Philip Beswick has joined the firm as Projects Counsel in London. He was previously Senior Associate at Hogan Lovells International.

Philip’s practice focusses on emerging market and development finance lending, including blended finance and ESG, trade and commodity finance structuring and ECA-backed financing. His expertise extends to advising both commercial lenders and development finance institutions and borrowers on domestic and cross-border financings in Europe, sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, Russia and the CIS. He advises across a wide range of sectors from energy and manufacturing to trade and commodities.

Philip’s expertise is recognised by leading directory The Legal 500 UK which ranked him as a ‘Rising Star’ for Trade Finance in its 2022 edition.
