VEGAS LEX has led a practical
seminar, Business Correspondence: a
methodology for reducing the risks of violating antimonopoly laws and
commercial confidentiality
, for legal departments and compliance
specialists of companies in various industries.

On October 10, 2017, Maria Borzova, Manager of VEGAS LEX Life sciences
projects, and Ksenia
Podguzova
, Commercial group associate, led a seminar on the basic
rules and approaches to written communication to reduce antimonopoly risks and
protect trade secrets.

Ms. Podguzova listed most words and phrases that might suggest violation of
the law on competition and commercial confidentiality and proposed strategies
for mitigating the risks on the basis of a detailed case analysis.

Ms. Borzova talked about the key rules for structuring corporate
correspondence and shared a few recommendations on avoiding most common business
correspondence mistakes.

The participants actively joined the discussion during the analysis of
model cases, successfully applying the knowledge received during the seminar to
practical situations.

We thank the participants for their active work at the seminar and will be
happy to see everyone at our upcoming events.
