The Cyprus
Fiduciary Association (CFA) organised a valuable and practical seminar titled
“Rights of Settlor and Beneficiaries under a Trust” on 28 and 29 September 2017
in Nicosia and Limassol respectively.

Senior and
Managing Partner, Mr Stavros Pavlou made an extensive presentation analysing all
matters relating to the role of settlors and beneficiaries under a trust, with
particular emphasis on Cyprus International Trusts.

Moreover, panellist Mrs Stella Strati,
Limited Partner of our law firm, joined the discussions around real case study
scenarios, providing attendees with a more practical aspect of the matters
involved.

Lawyers,
directors and employees of administrative service providers attended the
seminar, raised interesting questions and gave a very positive feedback, thus deeming the seminar a huge
success.

Furthermore, the Association of International Tax Consultants (AITC) organised its annual
conference in Bucharest, Romania on 1st and 2nd September 2017.
As a member of
AITC for many years, Patrikios Pavlou & Associates LLC was represented at
the AGM by Mr Stylianos Trillides, Senior Lawyer in the Corporate Department of
the firm.

Mr Trillides
had the opportunity to meet and network with all other professional members of
the association from all over the world, as well as to take part in
presentations and workshops on various interesting topics such as European
Directives on tax developments, international tax planning challenges and other
internal association matters.

Additionally,
during the AGM, our Senior & Managing Partner, Mr Stavros Pavlou, was
elected in the Board of Directors of AITC and was appointed for International
Affairs. Mr Pavlou expressed his gratitude and commitment towards the
associations’ goals.

Finally, the Board and the rest of the members thanked
their hosts for the impeccable organisation of the event and everyone wished a
great and fruitful cooperation for many years to come.
