We are thrilled to announce that our firm promoted Angelos Onisiforou and Stylianos Trillides to Partners, with effect from 1 January 2023.
Despite the challenges faced during the past year, Angelos and Stylianos have proven to be two notable and highly committed practitioners, distinguished for their professionalism and work ethic. They stand out for their exceptional legal skills and efficiency, knowledge of the market and dedication in delivering excellent results. They are regarded as two capable and trustworthy individuals with strong leadership skills, meeting all the criteria to be Partners.
Angelos practices corporate, commercial and financial law and has great experience on alternative investment funds, onshore restructurings, mergers and acquisitions. He focuses mainly on providing advice in relation to cross-border financing transactions involving the provision of finance, the granting of securities and the subordination of various credit obligations. He has set up and promotes the firm’s Financial Services department for the provision of legal and regulatory advice to investment vehicles and depositaries. Angelos is a VAT expert, certified with the Diploma in VAT excellence (DiVE). He has further completed the “Blockchain, Law Regulation and Policy” course and is able to provide legal and regulatory advice for matters concerning crypto assets and other related financial instruments. He authors articles for international law directories and attends conferences in Cyprus and abroad.
Stylianos has wide-ranging expertise in corporate law, commercial law and banking and finance through his experience frequently advising both local and international high-profile clients. He focuses on advising corporate entities and financial institutions on cross-border finance transactions and corporate restructurings and also has an interest in international arbitration. He also often advises individuals and corporate entities on real estate matters. Stylianos is further the General Manager of Pagecorp Group, the corporate services provider, associated with the law firm through common ownership, and a university lecturer on matters relating to banking and finance law. He has authored various articles in notable international guides and publications and regularly attends conferences in Cyprus and abroad. As a HRDA accredited instructor, he has organised and delivered training courses for members of the Cyprus Bar Association.
Angelos and Stylianos have both been mentioned as highly regarded and competent practitioners in their areas of practice by international legal directories, including The Legal500 EMEA, Chambers & Partners, and IFLR1000.
