We are very proud of announcing that Nezihe Boran
Demir has been promoted as Managing Associate, as of January 1, 2019.
Following her graduation from Bilkent University,
Faculty of Law in 2006, she completed her LL.M degree at University of Virginia
in 2014.
She has experience in leading law firms in the
Republic of Turkey. Following her experience as Assistant Manager in
Pricewaterhouse Coopers, she worked at the Federal Communications Commission
(FCC) in Washington DC. She joined Erdem & Erdem Law Office in 2016.
Mrs. Boran Demir has almost 15 years of experience
mainly in project finance, private-public partnerships (PPP), banking law,
capital markets law, telecommunication law, energy law and mining law. In
project finance, she provides legal assistance in all aspects of Islamic
finance, acquisition financing, structured financing, complex cross border
financial transactions and financing of infrastructure for public services such
as healthcare.
She primarily represents especially leading
multinational banks and finance corporations, sponsors or lenders (including
multilateral financing institutions and export credit agencies) in all facets
of project development and financing and participated in negotiations with
government and private counterparties during the projects.
In addition, she focused on national and
multijurisdictional mergers and acquisitions, corporate law and conducted
various corporate housekeeping projects for leading multinational companies in
Turkey and has participated in merger and acquisition transactions in wide
geography including Europe, the United States, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar,
etc.
