International Financial Law Review (IFLR) has recognised Bell Gully as leading the New Zealand market across key categories in its latest directory released in early November.

The firm is only one of two New Zealand firms to achieve Tier 1 status across all IFLR1000 2019 practice areas: banking and finance, capital markets, M&A, project development, and restructuring and insolvency.

Bell Gully also recorded the national high total of nine rankings in IFLR's key leading lawyer categories, which include "highly regarded" and "market leader". Those who are highly regarded "possess a strong transactional record and positive client feedback," while market leaders are "true leaders in their field… recognised as standout performers in their country."

Chair Anna Buchly said: "These outstanding rankings highlight the depth of the firm's expertise and the firm's strong focus on providing tailored, value-adding and proactive advice to our clients".

A total of 12 Bell Gully lawyers were ranked in IFLR1000 2019.
