Gernandt & Danielsson Advokatbyr√•¬†is a 'well-established player' in the capital markets arena; the team is experienced in debt capital markets (DCM) and equity capital markets (ECM), provides 'efficient legal support' and is 'proactive' in its approach. Practice co-heads¬†Mikael Borg¬†and¬†Fredrik Palm¬†advised¬†Catena Media on its listing of shares on Nasdaq Stockholm and related bond issuance; Borg also assisted Transcom on its issuance of ‚ā¨180m in senior secured fixed rate bonds.¬†Carl Westerberg¬†and¬†Bj√∂rn Svensson¬†are other recognised practitioners. Clients praise Roschier's 'innovative, quick, and solution-oriented' team, which is well versed in the full gamut of capital markets work with Pontus Enquist and Johan Häger leading the ECM and DCM groups respectively. Recent examples include¬†Louise Brorsson Salomon¬†advising Sparbanken Sk√•ne on the issuance of covered bonds totalling SEK3bn;¬†Jesper Sch√∂nbeck¬†assisting Stend√∂rren Fastigheter with its listing move from Nasdaq First North Premier to Nasdaq Stockholm‚Äôs main market; and¬†Mikael St√•hl¬†acting for Ixat Intressenter, a subsidiary of Cabonline Group, on the issuance of up to¬†‚ā¨200m in¬†senior secured floating rate bonds.¬†Erik Sj√∂man¬†is another key practitioner and¬†David Andersson¬†made partner in 2018.

The team at Baker McKenzie is 'highly experienced' and praised by clients for 'going the extra mile'. Its strengths lie in ECM work with a focus on IPOs, rights offerings and public takeover deals. 'Extremely solution-oriented' practice head Joakim Falkner advised Carnegie Investment Bank as joint global coordinator on its involvement in the aborted SEK12bn IPO of Swedish fintech group iZettle. Mathias Hansson joined from the now-defunct Byström Rooth & Partners and senior associate Henric Roth is also noted.

Advokatfirman Cederquist KB¬†is recognised for fielding 'dedicated contacts for each project'; the team is well versed in ECM and DCM work, which are areas of expertise for¬†Wilhelm L√ľning¬†and¬†Svante Hultqvist¬†respectively. L√ľning and¬† Fredrik Lund√©n, who has 'vast experience in¬†all types of capital markets matters', advised property company¬†Hemfosa on the potential demerger and spin off of parts of its property portfolio into a new subsidiary and the subsequent listing of the new company on Nasdaq Stockholm. Recent DCM work includes acting as Swedish counsel for the initial purchasers, including Goldman Sachs and Merill Lynch, on the issuance of senior notes and floating rate senior notes by Verisure Midholding.¬†Tone Myhre-Jensen¬†gives 'rapid and well-placed advice' and¬†Johan Lundberg¬†is another name to note.

White & Case Advokat AB's experienced team includes Rikard Stenberg, Carl Hugo Parment, Darragh Byrne, and Johan Thiman; the group handles IPOs, liability management and restructuring transactions, and assists clients with a range of financial products. Recent work highlights include acting for Morgan Stanley as sole bookrunner on Industrivärden’s SEK3.1bn block sale of A and B shares in SSAB, and assisting Handicare with its IPO and subsequent Nasdaq Stockholm listing. Counsel Michael Bark-Jones is another noteworthy practitioner.

Cirio Advokatbyrå AB's team includes various former practitioners of Advokatfirman Lindahl KB; Annika Andersson has extensive experience in advising on ECM and public M&A transactions, while Jesper Johansson is a DCM specialist. Maria Arnoldsson and Dennis Hansson are also noted.

Advokatfirman Delphi's team handles IPOs, issuances, contract work and public takeover bids, and regularly acts for issuers and investment banks. Practice head Mats Dahlberg advised Immunicum on a SEK200m rights issuance and Michael Juhlin assisted Cherry with its up-listing from AktieTorget to Nasdaq Stockholm. Andreas Wirén is also a key name to note.

DLA Piper is active in ECM mandates including block sales, cross-border tender offers, IPOs, and moves from Nasdaq First North to the Nasdaq Stockholm main list. Peder Grandinson and Peter Ihrfelt worked with the firm's German offices to advise Stillfront on its acquisition of all shares in Altigi, and Richard Folke assisted Moment Group with a SEK200m unsecured bond issuance and subsequent listing of the bonds on Nasdaq Stockholm. Folke and Emma Norburg jointly lead the team.

Led by Emil Hedberg, the capital markets team at Hamilton Advokatbyrå includes individuals who specialise in ECM, DCM and public M&A transactional work, and have 'very strong personal and diplomatic skills'. The department works closely with the firm's banking and finance and insolvency groups and is frequently instructed to advise on the financial restructurings of listed companies. Highlights included advising Danske Bank on the £97m IPO of MAG Interactive on Nasdaq First North Premier, and Charles Andersson and Hedberg acting for Karo Pharma on a £109m rights issuance. Associate Carl Magnusson is a key practitioner. Ola Lidström joined Bird & Bird in 2018.

Hammarskiöld's practice is led by Carl-Johan Pousette, who is singled out as 'one of the most experienced legal advisors in the local market'. Acting for bidders, sellers and targets, the team specialises in IPOs and public bid work. Pousette advised Carnegie Investment Bank, ABG Sundal Collier, DNB Markets and Kempen as joint bookrunners on the directed share issuance of Wilson Therapeutics; he also assisted SEB with the IPO of Projektengagemang on Nasdaq Stockholm. Erik Löfwall and associate Marcus Tipner are also regularly instructed.

Hannes Snellman¬†was bolstered by the recruitment of¬†Mattias Friberg¬†in 2018¬†from¬†Roschier,¬†who leads the firm's corporate, public M&A and ECM practice; and¬†Mikael Klang¬†from¬†Kanter Advokatbyr√• KB¬†in 2019. The team counts issuers and financial advisers as clients; EQT Partners and Transcom are notable examples. S√∂ren Lindstr√∂m¬†recently advised real estate company¬†NP3 Fastigheter on a ‚ā¨28m rights issuance; and Lindstr√∂m and¬†Christoffer Saidac¬†acted as lead counsel for Melker Sch√∂rling on a public cash offer by Sch√∂rling & Partners.

Linklaters has a strong international practice handling ECM and DCM work. Practice head Fredrik Lindqvist was part of the team advising Elkem on its IPO and listing on the Oslo Stock Exchange; further group highlights include assisting technology company Anoto with a convertible bond issuance. Managing associate Nima Naderi is also a key name to note.

Setterwalls has a strong IPO and listing practice with notable experience in the life sciences sector. Jonas Frii advised Arise on a rights issuance of convertible bonds with preferential rights for existing shareholders, and Jörgen S. Axelsson assisted Instalco Intressenter with its IPO and listing on Nasdaq Stockholm. Frii and Axelsson jointly lead the team with Maria Dahlqvist; Marcus Nivinger is also a name to note. Senior associate Axel Helle joined from Advokatfirman Cederquist KB, while Anders Grefberg moved in-house at AMF Pension.

Advokatfirman Lindahl KB's Mattias Prage  and Michael Edquist advised Starbreeze on its listing on Nasdaq Stockholm, and Mikael Smedeby and Gunnar Mattsson assisted BioArctic with its Nasdaq Stockholm IPO including the related issuance of new shares and sale of existing shares. Specialist counsel Nils Lundgren is also a key practitioner. Annika Andersson, Jesper Johansson and Maria Arnoldsson joined the newly founded law firm Cirio Advokatbyrå AB.

Magnusson Advokatbyrå acts for a varied client list including funds, institutional investment companies, investment banks and trading platforms. The practice is jointly led by Anders Bäckman and Eric Cederström; recent work for Cederström includes advising Scandinavian Credit Fund on the establishment of the first Swedish debt fund aimed at the retail market and related structural tax issues, and working with energy partner Jonas Bergquist to assist investment bank Altus Capital as sponsor on the listing of Dragon Mining on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

The 'efficient' team at Wistrand is experienced in handling issues for lender and issuer clients. Practice head Monica Petersson, who has 'a skilled eye for details', and counsel Ulf Forsman regularly act for Akademiska Hus; they recently advised on its EMTN programme including the review of its prospectus and programme documentation. Niklas Larsson is another name to note.
