Ellex acts for international technology giants and telecoms companies in a range of matters pertaining to data protection and cybersecurity. Along with the firm's offices in Latvia and Estonia, the 'skilled' team is advising IBM on a myriad of contentious and non-contentious issues relating to its Baltic subsidiaries. Industry and regulatory head Jaunius Gumbis; IP, media and privacy head Vytautas Mizaras; and Tomas Kamblevičius are the key names to note.

Cobalt frequently advises global clients, including pharmaceutical and technology companies, on high-profile mandates. Led by Žilvinas Kvietkus, the team is currently providing ongoing legal advice to Coca-Cola regarding its advertising campaign, which includes promotional and sales claims. Johnson & Johnson Poland and Novartis are among the group's key clients. Senior associate Eglė Bakštytė is recommended for her expertise in advertising law and consumer protection.

Counsel Stasys Drazdauskas leads the multi-disciplinary team at Sorainen, which handles corporate transactions in the media and technology field. The team is 'excellent in its approach' and is advising longstanding client Google on IP matters which include trade mark applications. Laimonas Skibarka is a noted practitioner in the group. Barclays is also a client.

The team at TGS Baltic is led by Mindaugas Civilka and advises domestic and international corporations such as GlaxoSmithKline. Dalia Tamašauskaitė-Žilienė and Paulius Zapolskis continue to act for Microsoft on data protection issues related to cybersecurity and cloud services, while Vidmantas Drizga and senior associate Vytautas Šilinskas advise Wix. The team welcomed two new senior associates: Greta Bujutė joined from Danske Bank and Henrika Žymančienė from Ernst & Young Baltic AS.

Law firm Venckute&Karnickas  has attracted an impressive range of clients, including internet service providers and life sciences and telecoms companies such as Telia Lietuva. The department is led by Liudas Karnickas and has been strengthened by a number of new additions, including Sonata Kajotaite, who joined from Law firm J. Judickiene and Partners Jurex, and Odeta Maksvytyte from bnt attorneys in CEE. Indre Miselyte left the firm to join KPMG.

A newcomer to the ranking, AAA Law's TMT practice is led by Andrius Iškauskas. Its client base includes traditional media outlets and internet service providers. Giedrė Domkutė is assisting a tech start-up in the Asian market and is highlighted for his expertise in IP.

At ECOVIS ProventusLaw, Loreta Andziulytė is noted for her specialty in telecoms; she also advised fintech company Vanepay on establishing its Lithuanian operations. Inga Karulaitytė-Kvainauskienė is another key figure in the team and has expertise in media and advertising.

FORT's services include advising clients such as Fieldfisher and Tesonet on GDPR compliance. Senior associate Aistė Samuilytė-Mamontovė recently advised the Baltics biggest pork provider on data protection matters. Former practice head Mindaugas Kiškis left to found his own firm.

Giedrė Rimkūnaitė-Manke leads the group at GLIMSTEDT Bernotas & Partners, which advises domestic corporations, mostly in the agriculture sector, on data protection. Senior associate Raminta Stravinskaitė has expertise in assisting clients with GDPR compliance. Andrius Ivanauskas is also a key practitioner to note.
