Karatzas & Partners offers ‘great service quality, and a well-resourced and experienced team’. Department heads Alexander Metallinos and Christina Faitakis are praised for their ‘great depth of experience, and reassuringly calm and confident demeanour in often heated negotiations’. The firm recently advised the EBRD and European Investment Bank on the €930m financing of Fraport and Kopelouzos Group’s acquisition of 14 regional airports from HRADF.

Kyriakides Georgopoulos Law Firm represented State Grid International Development (SGID) on its acquisition of a 24% stake in independent power transmission operator, ADMIE. The firm is also assisting SNAM on its ongoing bid to acquire a minority stake in independent gas transmission system operator, DESFA. Gus Papamichalopoulos leads the highly rated team.

Norton Rose Fulbright recently advised the Hellenic Republic on the unbundling and privatisation of ADMIE, which included the €327m sale of a 24% stake to SGID. It also advised Eurobank, Alpha Bank and NBG, on the €127m financing of a 73MW wind power project in Agios Georios. Dimitris Assimakis is highly recommended.

PotamitisVekris Law Firm represented Piraeus Bank and the National Bank of Greece as lenders on the €69m development of two wind farms by Hellenic Capital Partners. On the privatisation side, the firm advised HRADF on the €400m sale of the Astir Palace Hotel resort. Euripides Ioannou leads the team.

Alexiou & Kosmopoulos Law Firm is continuing to advise Lamda Development on all aspects of the project to develop the former Hellenikon airport site. The firm also advised NBG on the sale of the Astir Palace Hotel. Alexandros Kosmopoulos, Helen Alexiou and Constantine Alexiou are leading figures.

KLC Law Firm advised ADMIE, the Greek transmission system operator, on its second public tender offer launched in 2016.
