Bentsi-Enchill, Letsa & Ankomah maintains a leading position in the banking and finance sector in Ghana, where it enjoys longstanding relationships with major banks. Seth Asante, who heads the financial services and capital markets group, advised African Export-Import Bank and Mashreq Bank on their accession to a $150m swap arrangement with the Bank of Ghana. Frank Nimako Akowuah was promoted to partner in March 2018 and is another contact in the team.

Noted for its 'strong local knowledge combined with English law experience’, ENSafrica covers the gamut of banking and financing. It is often instructed by leading international banks and recently picked up several new clients in the financial services space. Paa Kwesi Morrison’s areas of expertise include asset finance, structured finance and derivatives, and firm chairman Elikem Nutifafa Kuenyehia is another leading practitioner in the team. Senior associate Anita Sekyi Yorke often has a role on the firm's major transactions.

The busy banking and finance department at Kimathi & Partners, Corporate Attorneys excels in cross-border transactions and counts Africa Finance Corporation and Asanko Gold among its clients. Kimathi Kuenyehia and associate Akua Serwaa Asomani-Adem recently provided advice to Danske Bank on the €62m financing to the government of Ghana for the construction of seven bridges.
