This section addresses the principal firms with regional offices across France. Many regional firms also have offices in Paris and some also have a presence internationally. Firms are listed alphabetically.

Paris and Lyon-based, Adamas is a full-service firm that enjoys national recognition, especially for its public law and energy practices. The firm is home to about 70 lawyers and also has offices in Bordeaux, Shanghai and Beijing.

Aklea has offices in Paris and Lyon. The firm provides a wide array of expertise that is particularly suited to SMEs and entrepreuneurs.

Axten Avocats Associés’s teams are spread between its Paris, Aix-en-Provence and Lyon offices and a further office in Shanghai. The firm provides a large range of expertise mainly to SMEs.

Bignon Lebray has its main offices in Paris and Lille, while it also has offices in Lyon and Aix-en-Provence and outposts in Shanghai and Beijing. The 70-lawyer firm enjoys growing national recognition and has a broad range of expertise including capital markets, finance, public law, tax, employment law and M&A.

Bird & Bird has its main French office in Paris and a secondary office of 40 lawyers and professionals in Lyon, which is managed by David Malcoiffe.

CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre Lyon is among the largest firms in Lyon with some 100 lawyers who provide expertise in business, tax and public law. The firm advises all sizes of companies including local groups and French and foreign corporations with affiliates in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. Jean-Philippe Clément, François Coutard, Emmanuel Faury, Charles-Yves Rivière and Xavier Vahramian head the Lyon office.

Cornet Vincent Ségurel is a key firm in Nantes and Western France. The firm, which is home to some 160 lawyers, has been growing rapidly this past decade and now has a well-established Paris office and branches in Rennes, Lille, Bordeaux and Lyon. The firm provides SMEs as well as several major companies with the full range of business law expertise.

In Lyon, Delsol Avocats is an influential firm which has also been growing its Paris office. The firm provides a broad range of expertise to SMEs, entrepreneurs and numerous large corporations. Its employment, tax and M&A capabilities are of national repute. Xavier Delsol is a renowned expert in the non-profit sector.

Ernst & Young Société d'Avocats has ten offices in France which provide a large array of tax and legal expertise.

Fidal has the market's broadest regional coverage with some 90 offices in the country and another office in Brussels. The firm, which fields some 1400 lawyers and jurists, provides a comprehensive range of expertise.

Lyon and Paris-based, employment law-firm Fromont Briens ranks among the best in France and is home to some 180 lawyers.

As PricewaterhouseCoopers International's member, PwC Société d'Avocats has more than 500 lawyers and professionals spread among nine offices within the country. The firm provides tax, employment and general business law expertise.

Parisian firm Racine has a strong network of regional offices - Bordeaux, Lyon, Marseille, Nantes and Strasbourg. The firm, which also has an antenna in Brussels, ranks among the leading French business law firms. It fields some 180 lawyers.

Lyon-based Cabinet Ratheaux fields some 50 lawyers who advise SMEs and leading French and international corporations on M&A, tax, employment law, IP law and litigation. The firm also has an office in Paris and opened an outpost in Singapore. Henri Saint-Père stands out for ‘his great business vision, responsiveness and ability to focus on main issues’; Gaétan de la Bourdonnaye is ‘an expert in corporate law who shows extreme professionalism’; employment law specialist Marie-Claude Chautard and IP expert Sandrine Mollon combine ‘high expertise and professionalism’; and tax partners Serge Berrettoni, Christian Muller and Rodolphe Mosse are ‘of a very high level’.

Deloitte's entity Taj fields 466 lawyers and jurists among which are 57 partners, based in Paris, Bordeaux, Lille, Lyon and Marseille. The firm has leading tax expertise and also assists with a broad array of business law matters.

Paris-headquartered Vaughan Avocats has a strong regional network of offices - Rennes, Sophia Antipolis, Toulouse, Versailles, and a presence in Bamako. The firm has some 50 lawyers in its ranks who provide general business law expertise. Its employment law experience is highly ranked.
