Helmy, Hamza & Partners (member firm of Baker & McKenzie International) frequently handles ICC, Cairo Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (CRCICA), CAS, Grain and Feed Trade Association and UNCITRAL arbitrations. Practice head Mohamad Talaat and senior associate Yehia Shahine recently settled six CRCICA arbitration proceedings for a global oil field services company.

Kosheri, Rashed & Riad is regarded as 'a leading arbitration firm'. Former ICC Court of Arbitration vice chairman Ahmed El Kosheri and chairman of the Dubai International Arbitration Center Tarek F Riad are the key partners. They count Caterpillar, Four Seasons and Siemens among their corporate clients.

Shahid Law Firm has more than 30 year's experience in international arbitration and recently worked with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP on the high-value oil and gas Peace Pipeline cases before ICSID, the ICC and CRCICA. César R. Ternieden, Girgis Abd El-Shahid and Sarwat Abd El-Shahid are the key contacts.

At Shalakany Law Office, Khaled El Shalakany and Adam El Shalakany are the key partners who handle international arbitration, and investment treaty cases for large domestic and multinational businesses. The firm's highlights included a high-value investment arbitration against the Arab Republic of Egypt concerning export rights.

Zulficar & Partners Law Firm has 'a superb international arbitration practice and leads the Egyptian market', according to one client who describes Mohamed Abdel Wahab as 'an arbitration expert with a global reputation', who is 'one of the best in the world'. Orange, Goldman Sachs and Qsoft are among his clients.

Al Kamel Law Office's 'highly skilled team of professionals are able to coordinate cross-border claims'. Managing partner Mohamed Kamel and head of litigation Joseph Morcos are the key names in a practice that has specialist expertise in energy and shipping sector arbitrations.

Practice head Khaled Attia at Nour & Partners in association with Al Tamimi & Company is a registered arbitrator. A recent matter examined the whether Egyptian military decisions can exempt a party from contractual obligations. Experienced senior associate Ahmed Kotb plays a pivotal role in the firm's major cases.

At Dentons Egypt LLC, the dispute resolution practice is led by managing partner Michael Lacey and includes experienced arbitration partner Amal Afifi Dawood. The duo acted for an overseas client in the engineering and construction sector in an ICC arbitration against an Egyptian company concerning an EPC contract.
