Recommended firm Mandaliti Advogados fields a sizeable insurance team under the leadership of name partner Renato Tadeu Rondina Mandaliti. The multidisciplinary insurance group at Pinheiro Neto Advogados includes litigation and corporate and M&A experts. It is particularly notable for its health insurance and regulatory practice; Théra Van Swaay De Marchi, Maria Silvia Loureiro de Andrade Marques and associate Luciana Mayumi Sakamoto are names to note in this space. Santos Bevilaqua Advogados acts for insurers and other financial services companies, with an emphasis on international clients. The team acts for leading banks and insurance companies, and excels in complex, contentious matters. It has recently been busy representing clients in loss adjustment proceedings. In one example, a team led by André Tavares and Daniel Chacur de Miranda acted for IRB Brasil RE in a $200m loss adjustment proceeding. Azevedo Sette Advogados fields a multidisciplinary team to handle insurance, reinsurance, pensions and healthcare matters, and benefits from an extensive office network across Brazil. Sao Paulo-based Jaqueline Suryan heads the practice, having arrived from Mattos Filho, Veiga Filho, Marrey Jr. e Quiroga Advogados in April 2018; in recent work, she and associate Juliana Strohl  advised Amazon Web Services on private pension and healthcare agreements for its employees. Ilan Goldberg leads the team at Chalfin, Goldberg, Vainboim & Fichtner Advogados Associados, which is based across the São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Vitória and Curitiba offices. It handles the gamut of insurance and reinsurance matters, and is particularly busy in claims adjustment and insurance litigation. The multidisciplinary team is particularly strong in advising insurance-sector clients on corporate, commercial and regulatory matters. In an illustration of the firm's investment in this area, it promoted banking and insurance law expert Thais De Gobbi to partner in 2018. The specialised insurance and reinsurance group at Schalch Sociedade de Advogados handles advisory and contentious work for major insurance companies, both domestic and international. In a recent matter, Debora Schalch and a team advised the Brazilian subsidiary of a leading reinsurance company on potential coverage refusal concerning an event that occurred in 2017. Siqueira Castro ‚Äď Advogados¬†excels in health and aviation insurance, and is particularly active in insurance-related litigation. Multinational and domestic companies, including major insurers, turn to Trench Rossi Watanabe for legal and regulatory advice. In recent work, the team assisted SCOR Brasil Resseguros on its reorganisation and in regulatory proceedings before the Brazilian Superintendence of Private Insurance (SUSEP). EEA Regs; abuse of rights) Afghanistan ¬† [2019] UKUT 281 (IAC ), the Upper Tribunal found that there is no basis in EU law for the centre of life test, as set out in Regulation 9(3)(a) of the Immigration (European Economic Area) Regulations 2016 (the ‚ÄúRegulations‚ÄĚ). It further found that it is not to be applied when Judges assess ¬†Surinder Singh ¬†cases that appear before them.
