Charles Russell Speechlys LLP handles real estate finance, development, construction and transactions involving transport infrastructure and industry sites, as well as hotels and residential estates. The practice is jointly headed by Paula Boast and Simon Green , both of whom advised Amlak Social Insurance Organisation Development Company on the development of a freehold residential high-rise building in the Seef district of Manama. Also in the development space, the team is acting for Eagle Hills Diyar in relation to a major mixed-use development covering 875,000 square metres. Further, the department advised Bahrain Marina Development Company on the drafting, negotiating and financing of various commercial agreements, including a hotel management and technical services agreement in relation to the Marina Club development.

Trowers & Hamlins LLP advises on the commercial and regulatory aspects of a wide range of development projects, and also has expertise in construction disputes including arbitration. Jointly headed by Abdul-Haq Mohammed and Cheryl Cairns, the team acted for management consultant International Development Ireland in relation to the establishment of the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA). Additionally, Mairead Finlay-Noonan advised Darari Investment on a regulatory matter concerning the distribution of land among shareholders and investors as an in-kind distribution. Peter Greatrex joined Clyde & Co LLP in 2019.

Norton Rose Fulbright handles construction and development projects in the energy and infrastructure sector and also has experience advising corporate occupiers on HQ developments and portfolio management. Joanne Emerson Taqi heads the non-contentious construction practice, Dubai-based Paul Stothard is a contact for construction disputes, and of counsel Louisa Lynch heads the real estate group from the Dubai office.
