Position
Laurence has a wide ranging civil advocacy practice, focussed solely by the needs of his regular instructing agents. His day-to-day caseload contains a mixture of property disputes, commercial disputes, personal injury and professional negligence cases. He also has experience in media (defamation, privacy, copyright, contempt of court) and licensing law. In recent years his practice has developed a focus towards property litigation, largely due to the volume of these cases that have required to proceed to final determination. Although he works from Advocates’ Library in Edinburgh when required, he continues to live in Perth and travels throughout Scotland for court appearances and consultations. By living out-with Edinburgh, he can provide clients (and instructing agents) with a more locally focused service, even for court cases that ultimately proceed in the Court of Session.
