General public law practice – mainstay judicial review and appeal work; general civil practice.
Position
Dan’s principle practice is in judicial review and appeal work on behalf of petitioners and appellants. On a daily basis he advises on and drafts cases for judicial review and those that do not settle, he presents. Dan conducts cases in the lower courts in a variety of areas of practice. Having trained and practised as a solicitor in immigration, asylum and human rights, his practice in the lower courts leans towards the First-tier and Upper Tribunal (immigration and asylum chamber). He continues to work for defenders in civil disputes, ranging from personal injury to contract actions in the Sheriff Court and Court of Session.
