Position

Anna has extensive experience in clinical negligence and personal injury matters and, travel and foreign claims. Notable cases in clinical negligence include: Reeve v Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust (2011), [HC,QBD] led by Sarah Vaughan Jones QC. Successful defence against an allegation of negligence in the management of a birth; Goncalves v Newham University Hospital NHS Trust (2010), HC, QBD] Led by Michael de Navarro QC. Allegation of hospital negligence in the management of the delivery of a second twin. In personal injury, various types of applications and in trials of various tracks. Accepts work on behalf of both claimants and defendants, and has a particular interest in claims involving children. In travel and foreign claims, led by Howard Palmer QC and Marie Louise Kinsler in Bacon v Nacional Suiza Cia Seguros Y Reseguros SA [2010] EWHC 2017 (QB), the first case in English law where the courts considered the question of the temporal scope of Rome II. Anna has published ‘A Practical Guide to Claims Under the Package Travel Regulations’ and has given seminars on this topic and on ‘Practical Considerations in Cross-Border Claims’.
