Position
Barrister specialising in commercial and chancery litigation. Areas of practice: commercial contract disputes, including sale of shares and businesses, joint venture agreements, building contracts, sale of goods and services, restraint of trade, commercial agency; company law, including shareholders' disputes (including s459/s994 petitions), directors' duties and liabilities; professional negligence - solicitors, accountants, surveyors, banks and financial advisers; partnership disputes - both commercial and professional partnerships; banking - mortgages, fixed and floating charges, consumer credit and general debt recovery; civil fraud, including freezing injunctions, tracing and other equitable remedies; insolvency - personal and corporate, including liquidations, administration, winding-up petitions and applications to restrain advertisement and presentation; property litigation; commercial and residential property litigation, including disputes over easements, boundaries and equitable interests, and landlord and tenant disputes; inheritance disputes, including disputes over wills and family provision.
Career
Called 2002; for the eight years prior to joining St John's Chambers, practised as a commercial litigation solicitor with two major law firms (his practice largely consisted of cases in the Mercantile Court and the Chancery Division of the High Court and included a major HSE public inquiry).
