Timothy Bowe is a Barrister specialising in Family and Housing law.  Timothy is the regional secretary for the Family Law Bar Association (FLBA) in the West Midlands and a member of the FLBA.

Timothy is a keen advocate for continuing professional development and regularly speaks at public seminars and training events. He is also the Head of Pupillage and Tenancy at St. Ives Chambers.

In 2018, he was appointed as a Family Law Recorder (Northern Circuit).

Timothy has an established reputation for detailed preparation and forensic case analysis. He has a relaxed, reassuring style that enables him to put clients at ease.

Timothy has a wealth of experience in acting in all types of public family law work.  He has a particular interest in cases involving:

  • Fabricated and induced illness (FII)/poisoning.
  • Brussels II.
  • Non-accidental injury.
  • Serious sexual harm.
  • Human rights/jurisdictional issues.
  • The giving of evidence of vulnerable individuals.

Timothy acts for parents, children and extended family members in all aspects of private law proceedings, including:

  • Child arrangement disputes (including residence and contact).
  • Human rights/jurisdiction issues.

Housing Law

Timothy deals with all aspects of housing law and has experience prosecuting and defending in possession claims, anti-social behaviour cases, homelessness applications and appeals and disrepair litigation.

Timothy is an active participant in Chambers and Circuit life and often speaks at seminars and conferences on all aspects of housing and property law.
