Position

Practice covers all aspects of contentious property work and professional negligence claims involving property matters, particularly solicitors, surveyors and lender claims. Her practice embraces real property, including conveyancing, restrictive covenants, easements, adverse possession and construction of documents; trusts and probate; and commercial and residential landlord and tenant. Cases include: King v Executors of Estate of James King [2014] EWHC 2827 (Ch); Jackson v Thompson Solicitors & Others [2014] HC, QB; Kingerlee Holdings Ltd v Dunelm Ltd [2013] EWHC 47 (Ch); D R Sheridan v Higgins & another [2012] EWHC 547 (dispute as to ownership of solicitor’s file in dispute between two executors); Padden v Bevan Ashford (a firm) [2011] EWCA Civ 1616 (professional negligence claim against solicitors firm witnessing documents); Kang v Eau [2010] EWHC 1837 (claim for balance due under a share purchase agreement and issues of illegality under the Companies Act 2006);  Anastasia v Papakyricou HC Fam 22.4.09 (trust, proprietary estoppel, restitution and illegality); Chief Constable of Wiltshire v McDonagh [2008] EWHC 654 (seizure of home by police, statutory and convention compliant interpretations of PACE); Blackwood v Saunders (A Firm) TLQ/07/0476 (QB) 8.11.07 (professional negligence claim against solicitors re right to buy transaction); White v White [2003] EWCA Civ 924 (joinder of Trusts of Land and Children Act applications); Dharamshi v Dharamshi [2000] EWCA Civ 305 (substantial assets ancillary relief claim with offshore trusts).
