Ari Alibhai prosecutes and defends all types of general crime. He has particular expertise in the criminal aspects of copyright and trade marks, trading standards and confiscation. He has prosecuted a large number of cases on behalf of the British Phonographic Industry and various trading standards services, including all types of counterfeiting activity. He has experience of all forms of private prosecution, both on behalf of corporations and private clients. Ari is a leading specialist in the field of intellectual property protection with particular experience in media rights protection. He is currently instructed in a large number of multimillion-pound copyright and trade mark prosecutions undertaken both privately, on behalf of music, film, cable TV companies, and publicly, on behalf of various trading standards services and the Fraud Prosecution Service.
