Position
Partner and practical area leader for infrastructure. Specialises in major projects and in particular the authorisation processes for the delivery of major infrastructure projects including traditional planning permission, private bills, road user charging orders, transport and works orders, section 36 consents, compulsory purchase orders and traffic regulation orders. She also specialises in planning law and provides advice to a range of both public and private sector clients in relation to all planning matters including strategic planning advice, planning agreements, development planning, development management, compulsory purchase and public inquiries.
Career
Trained The Commercial Law Practice; qualified 1998; property department Dundas & Wilson 2000; following involvement in one of the first property outsourcing deals in the UK, moved to projects and dealt with various PFI projects acting for a range of public sector clients, consortia and funders. Recent projects include Edinburgh tram and borders railway specialism in transport and planning law. She is also a co-author of the second edition of the textbook on Scottish Roads law.
