Position

Sara is an experienced housing lawyer and has been identified as a leading junior in the field of social housing in both The Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners where she has been described as ‘universally excellent' with 'a pleasant and efficient manner'. Sara has substantial expertise across housing law, in particular in cases involving discrimination and/or human rights issues and in anti-social behaviour matters, security of tenure, possession proceedings and disrepair. She recently appeared for the social landlord as Junior Counsel in the Supreme Court in Akerman-Livingstone v Aster Communities Limited [2015[ UKSC 15. Her clients include numerous local authorities, registered providers of social housing, private landlords and tenants. Sara also has considerable employment law experience – at tribunal and appellate levels – including all strands of discrimination and unfair/wrongful dismissal. Her clients include local authority and private sector employers as well as employees.
